Verizon and AT&T: How The Service Will Stack Up

Phone technology is progressing every day and now with the invention of smart chips and smart phones it may seem that a step in the ladder of instantly streaming data from around the world in seconds, is being taken. Now that Apple has decided to make the iPhone available to other carriers such as Verizon, it will only be a matter of time before other carriers begin to follow suit.

AT&T had complaints in the last year from customers about the service they provided and the overload of data on the network, due to the vast majority of citizens across the world who purchased the iPhone. Since AT&T has been making adjustments and Verizon is coming into the market, the question then becomes how the two will stack up. Here is a closer look.

Verizon and AT&T

1. Cost- The phones will cost the same with both cost same. 16 gigabyte phones will be 200 dollars and 32 gigabyte will be 300 dollars. The plans on the phone, however, differ slightly in that Verizon charges more for unlimited monthly plans then AT&T. The cost of the plan is only five dollars more a month, or roughly 60 dollars a year which may not affect anyone’s decisions.

2. Efficiency- Efficiency is the question on everyone’s mind. The AT&T network had unhappy customers due to a large number of dropped calls on the system. Since, AT&T has announced that it made changes to the network to correct the problem. As far as, Verizon goes, only time will tell, however one thing is certain. Verizon will offer the iPhone sooner than summer 2011, but it will not offer the faster 4G capabilities in all states until July or later.

Both phones have many more aspects, and qualities that a consumer might be looking for. As for cost and efficiency it will be some time before the results are in.
